Hello guys, I'm back! I took a one-and-a-half-month break cause I went to India! It was really historical and relaxing over there! Anyways, today I'm going to write about a very short but sweet book.
This is a book that is set in the mountains in the Himalayas at Garwhal. A girl named Binya, her real name (Binyadevi) lives with her brother Bijju, his real name( Vijay ), and their mother. Their village was a small and peaceful one. There was a shopkeeper whose name was Ram Bharosa which means Ram the Trustworthy.
So one day was calling for the cows the family owned. Neelu -"blue" was the name of their blue-grey cow. 'Gori" which meant white was the name of the other cow . She kept calling for them until she heard the cowbells tinkling . She knew that the cows weren't. So she went ahead, then she heard a party of picnickers babbling about they saw her and they loved her leopard claw pendant so much that they gave her ten rupees for it. She didn't want it, the lady looked over where Binya was staring, fine blue umbrella ! The lady hesitated at first but knowing she wanted the pendant she gave the umbrella. Now that Binya has owned the umbrella, many people in the village envy her . The most envious of all was ol' Ram Bharosa. Will Binya keep the umbrella or will the shopkeeper take it ? let me know in the comments ! That's for today guys ! Byeee!
